Hi and welcome,

This is where you will find the information you need to get around Colombia.

Colombia offers so many varied experiences, from tropical glaciers to tropical beaches. Ancient civilizations to modern cities. Tropical Jungles and remote deserts, and so much more.

And lets not forget coffee. Colombian coffee is world re-known.

This is not my first visit to South America or Colombia. I have been visiting these parts since 2013, and have visited many of the popular tourist spots throughout South America, Machu Picchu, Cusco, Ollantaytambo ruins (which I thought were more impressive than Macchi Picchu), lake Titicaca, La Paz, the Capital city of Bolivia and the worlds highest city. Christ the Redeemer, Copacabana beach, in Brazil, Iguazu falls from both the Argentine and Brazilian sides, and many other places.

Chile is my preferred entry and exit point to South America, as it is usually a direct flight from Australia. Other times I have used the American cities of Miami and Los Angeles to enter or return from Colombia.

Purpose of this Site

The reasons are many as you will see throughout these pages.

You will get to meet friendly people, and experience diverse cultures, wilderness treks to lost cities, tropical beaches, colored rivers, amazing birds and wildlife, glaciers, the remains of ancient civilizations and so much more.

Coffee let’s not forget the coffee!

Unlike other South American countries traveling within Colombia can be hard to organize.

The usual way to book a tour is to check the flyers in your hotel lobby or ask the desk clerk.

There are also street hustlers trying to fill seats on buses.

My first tour was to Santa Marta then to Tayrona National Park. I was the only English speaker on a bus of Colombians.

Although the experience was good ( I did know some Spanish).

English speakers will find that throughout Colombia, not many Colombians speak English but don’t let this deter you.

I have made this site to give you other options.

If you decide to take advantage of them I’m sure your experience will be an awesome one.
